German Setter Tile and Stone is a San Diego based tile-setting company, owned and operated by Jens Sedemund. Jens was born and raised in Eutin, Germany and decided to become a tile setter when he was 16 years old. He underwent a 2 year apprenticeship, 

​passed a test and received his journeyman certificate. With the exception of a 1 1/2  year stint in the German navy, he's been setting tile ever since.

Jens met his future (American) wife in Germany in 1993 and moved to the U.S. in 1995 to get married. After several years of working as a journeyman tile setter, he got his tile setting contractor license and started his own business.

With over 30 years of experience, Jens has successfully tackled almost every type of tile setting project imaginable. Besides being known for his beautiful work, he is known for his expertise, attention to detail, friendly disposition and work ethic. He's extremely reliable; he returns phone calls, consistently arrives punctually at jobs and appointments, and communicates with customers throughout the project. Jens has done work for hundreds of satisfed customers.
